The Charity Commission and Suicide
Posted by andrewhind on May 6, 2007
Louise Edwards (Case Manager of Diabetes UK) said in her email of April 30th 2007:
In one email you make a comment regarding “the suicide of that girl” of which you claim the Commission has “knowledge”. The Commission is not aware of the incident to which you refer.
Mr [Jonathan] Cooper’s letters have made clear the action you can take if you are not satisfied with the service you have received regarding you requests for information. If you have concerns about my or any other Commission officer’s conduct in handling this matter you can access our complaints procedure by writing to the Customer Service Manager at Charity Commission Direct, PO Box 1227, Liverpool L69 3UG or through enquiries@charitycommission.gov.uk.
Yours sincerely

Should you wish to be forwarded a copy of this email, we will do so. The reason we haven’t published the actual email is because 2/3 of it isn’t actually relevant to this part of our blog. But as said, you are more than welcome to read it to confirm that what Louise Edwards wrote (what we’ve written above) is actually correct.
If you have Bebo, please add / message TJ (http://www.bebo.com/tawnyajacobs). She will direct you to where the information about this will be. The site listed is only a linking device so unless you really want to befriend TJ there’s no need for you to add her.
